Pay: $18-20

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Painters are responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including set up, operation, inspection, and material handling activities. Painters are expected to work in a safe, productive and cooperative manner in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Quality Control: Inspecting paint finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards.; Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment.; Safety: Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear.; Material Management: Mixing, matching, and managing inventory of paints, solvents, and other materials.; Production Processes: Understanding and following manufacturing specifications and processes.; Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing issues related to the painting process.; Inventory Control: Tracking daily usage of paints, thinners, and other solvents.; Paint Application: Applying paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools.; Additional Duties: Complete all tasks as assigned by department leadership

Requirements

Previous manufacturing and/or painting experience preferred; Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require; Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance; Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis; Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people; Extensive standing, frequent bending, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking; Required personal protective equipment, overhead crane, carts, dollies and some hand tools; Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
