Part Time Pizza Cook for the Roost at Fearrington Village

Located 15 minutes from Chapel Hill, our property is one of the original Relais & Chateaux destinations in North America since 1980, complete with an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, luxury 32-room inn, spa, boutique shops, a beer and pizza garden, events spaces, and one of the state’s last remaining independent bookstores.

Fearrington Village is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Pizza Cook to join our culinary team at The Roost. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking our wood-fired pizzas while maintaining high standards for quality, consistency, cleanliness, and guest service.

Responsibilities

Prepare pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, toppings, and other ingredients.; Stretch, assemble, and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards.; Safely operate and maintain the pizza oven and kitchen equipment.; Monitor food quality, portion sizes, cooking times, and presentation.; Keep the pizza station clean, organized, and fully stocked.; Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.; Assist with prep, opening, closing, and general kitchen duties.; Work collaboratively with the culinary and service teams during busy shifts.

Requirements

Previous pizza, line-cook, or professional kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.; Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and around a high-temperature pizza oven.; Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.; Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.; Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
