Parts Specialist

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.); Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in selection of merchandise; Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers; Complete assigned company training; Provide excellent service to phone customers by answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, offering Low-Price Guarantee; Maintain and secure cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make change, process credit card transactions; Process exchanges and returns; Address and resolve customer complaints; Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning; Perform daily operational tasks (prepare returns, monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts); Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training; Perform in-store services for customers (install wipers, test/charge batteries, test charging system, scan trouble codes, replace headlight capsules); Drive delivery vehicle when business needs dictate; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service; Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to have

Bilingual; Spanish; Familiar with automotive parts; Cataloging; Weatherly index system; Automotive sales or service; ASE certification
