Party Coach

At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, more athletic kids. KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids walking through 11 years old. KidStrong Albuquerque is rapidly growing and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives. We are looking for a camp coach with an athletic or coaching background who ideally has experience in birthday parties or coaching kids ages 4 - 9.

Responsibilities

Coach party sizes of up to 20 children ages 4-9; Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team; Ensure camp starts and ends on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum; Greet students and parents/guardians as they arrive; Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor; Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises; Keep an accurate record of attendance; Ensure cleanliness of the center including lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors; Use the KS Coach's App to record class data; Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack; Complete training through LearnUpon; Work in a physically intensive environment and lift equipment up to 25 pounds; Work hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and safety; Attend mandatory staff meetings; Supervise, ensure safety, and implement program for campers

Requirements

Passion for working with children; Athletic or coaching background; CPR certified; Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills; Self-starter who gets the job done; Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding incidents; Available on weekend afternoons from 4pm-8pm; Able to work in a physically intensive environment and lift/repeatedly move equipment up to 25 pounds; Comfortable working hands-on with kids; Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack; Complete training through LearnUpon; Attend mandatory staff meetings

Nice to have

Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age; Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics; Experience in birthday parties or coaching kids ages 4-9
