Payroll Analyst

Our client is a global alternative asset manager with over $30 billion in AUM specializing in credit, real estate, and multi-strategy investing. The firm uses a research-driven approach to actively deploy capital across complex markets with an emphasis on risk-adjusted returns. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of employee compensation, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and other payroll-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist the accounting team to ensure accurate journal entries related to payroll including labor costs, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions; Assist in reconciling payroll expenses to the general ledger; Process payroll on a semi-monthly and monthly basis for employees globally; Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws; Maintain and update employee payroll records in system; Assist with year-end payroll tasks including W-2 preparation and reconciliation while ensuring compliance with federal and state reporting requirements; Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll inquiries

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; 3-4 years of experience in payroll; Experience with Workday payroll system required; Experience with reconciling payroll to the general ledger; Strong Excel skills
