PE Coating Operator

Visually inspect pre- and post-production deck boards, operate roll-to-roll coating machines and digital inking machines, follow QA inspection instructions, and participate in plant safety, TPM, and 6S activities.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect pre- and post-production deck boards to required quality standards; Utilize measurement tools to confirm quality specifications; Read and follow QA inspection instructions; Notify Process Technician or Supervisor immediately if quality issues arise; Operate roll-to-roll coating machines and digital inking machines; Load and unload raw materials coatings with transport dollies and/or hand trucks; Mix coating formulations to ensure smooth and even application to substrate; Visually inspect coated products for defects; Perform routine cleaning of coating equipment; Complete production end-of-shift reporting; Follow plant safety protocols; Participate in TPM and 6S activities; Coordinate with team members, warehouse personnel, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; Basic math, reading, and writing skills; Ability to recognize and address issues with the coating process or equipment in real time and resolve recurring problems quickly; Previous machinery operator experience in a continuous production environment; Strong understanding of conveyance, coating, curing and printing equipment; Meticulous focus on maintaining quality uniformity and product quality; Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members; Ability to read, interpret technical documents, work instructions, product specifications; Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.; Ability to stand for extended periods of time; Ability to work 12 hour shifts; Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
