Perinatal Sonographer-Ob/Gyne. Location: Park Ridge, IL - 1875 Dempster St. Department: 02250 AMG Park Ridge 1875 Dempster POB - Obstetrics/Gynecology. Status: Full time. Benefits Eligible: Yes. Hours Per Week: 32. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 hour shift between 6:45am-5:30pm; potential Saturday hours 9-1. Rotate locations: Park Ridge, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Glenview. Pay Range: $44.15 - $66.25. Sign-On Bonus for External Applicants $2,500.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive non-invasive, invasive and vascular procedures to demonstrate OB/GYN anatomy under investigation; Provide physiologic assessment of OB/GYN vasculature and fetal well-being; Independently provide technically optimal, complete and accurate images for diagnosis of high-risk OB/GYN patient; Combine clinical history while performing sonographic study, summarize findings and document information/action to appropriate physician; Assist physicians during invasive procedures including amniocentesis, sonohysterograms, endometrial biopsies, and chorionic villi sampling; Review patient history and summarize findings on Perinatal computer network; Operate all ultrasound equipment in a competent manner and report malfunctions; Deliver patient care, introduce self, explain exam, reconfirm patient identification; Position patients for ultrasound exams and perform film reviews; Participate in professional development, maintain ARDMS and Nuchal Translucency certification, CPR certification; Clean, prepare and sanitize aspiration handles and endocavity transducers; Maintain adequate supplies and enter charges for completed procedures; Communicate with other departments and assist in orientation of Ultrasound Department personnel

Requirements

ARDMS-Registered in OB; CPR certification; Graduate of AMA approved school of ultrasound; Good skills in OB/GYN and pelvic ultrasound exams; Good skills in endovaginal scanning; Good skills in OB/GYN color duplex scanning; Good skills and knowledge of pathology in high risk OB/GYN imaging; Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong organizational skills; Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy; Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; Extreme flexibility in working hours; Standing for long periods of time

Nice to have

2 years OB/GYN experience preferred
