Personal Assistant for 10 Year Old Boy

Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. We are looking for a kind, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a 10-year-old boy who lives with his family plus one cat and dog in the Gaywood area. He is a friendly young boy who benefits from support from someone patient, engaging and willing to build a positive, trusting relationship with him. The role involves providing support both at home and out in the community.

Responsibilities

Providing support both at home and out in the community; Trips to the park and the local train station; Food preparation; Personal care; Joining in with activities he enjoys, including active play (e.g., trampoline time); Acting as a companion and supportive presence; Encouraging confidence and interaction during activities

Requirements

Kind, reliable and enthusiastic; Patient, engaging and willing to build a positive, trusting relationship; Experience working with children or young people with additional needs; Good communication skills; Ability to engage positively in activities and build rapport

Nice to have

Familiarity with supporting sensory or behavioural needs; A positive, caring and proactive approach
