Personal Assistant

I am in my 40s with autism and have a learning disability. I love life and enjoy living in my own home. I'd like someone to work with me to help me remain independent.

Responsibilities

Managing finances and bills; reading/interpret written information; prompting and assisting with self-care (e.g., barbers); prompting and assisting with cleaning/tidying; helping with laundry, including laundrette trips and putting away; assisting with engaging in events/activities and getting to/from events; assisting with weekly shopping budget, healthy food choices, and food hygiene; assisting with putting away shopping and managing sell-by dates; assisting with verbal communication by phone/in person; helping stay safe online and with online forms, emails/letters; helping with cooking, cooking times, and heat temperature

Requirements

Excellent communication skills; understanding of autism; good at using strategies to help say the right words; availability Monday and Tuesday all day, Thursday from 3pm, Friday from 3pm
