PHLEBOTOMIST/MOBILE PHLEBOTOMIST

Responsibilities

Computer operation as relevant to patient analysis, result reporting, patient demographics; Procurement of patient specimens for analysis; Inventory record keeping as directed; Bench maintenance as described in Blood-borne Pathogen Standard Manual; Dispensation of patient results; Train new employees; Mobile phlebotomy, nursing home, and on-call as directed; Process specimens that are being sent to reference laboratories; Patient registration, receptionist duties, specimen collection and processing at various laboratories on & offsite drawing stations

Requirements

High School Diploma; Graduate from an approved phlebotomy course or one year phlebotomy experience; Frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs; Occasional climbing stairs, lifting 50-100 lbs and sitting; Constant use of hearing, sight and speech; Frequent use of smell and touch; Frequent keyboard and telephone use; Constant concentration and problem solving
