The French Bouygues SA consortium, which is based in Paris, is one of the most important listed businesses in France and one of the world’s largest construction companies. It was founded in 1952 by Francis Bouygues and has been run by his son Martin Bouygues since 1989.
Through its subsidiary Bouygues Construction SA, the Bouygues Group is represented in more than 80 countries in the fields of building construction and civil engineering, in public construction and infrastructure projects and the energy sector (Bouygues Energies & Services).
In addition to construction, (Bouygues Construction and Colas) the Bouygues Group also specialises in real estate and real estate development (Bouygues Immobilier), media (TF1 Group) and telecommunications (Bouygues Telecom).
