Press Operator 2

SUMMARY: Assist operator in operation of the press. SHIFT: Rotating 1st/2nd (W6)

Responsibilities

Support operator's efforts to meet budgeted targets; Hang substrates on press; Know register control system; Understand all SOPs and be trained in them; Run press to approved specifications; Properly fill out all paperwork, daily reports, final release, consumption reports, and roll tickets; Know and follow all safety rules; Prep print carriages; Make up doctor blades; Actively participate in safety programs and make safety observations; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
