Principal Accountant - Childrens services

Allen Lane are supporting a London Local Authority within Children’s Services to recruit an Interim Principal Accountant on a 6-month contract. This role supports Childrens services by ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and clear reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide financial support and advice to Budget Holders; Analyse budgets, expenditure, and funding within Children’s Services; Produce clear financial reports to support decision-making

Requirements

Strong knowledge of childrens services budgets within a Local Authority; Experience working in Children’s Services Finance; Confidence presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders
