Principal Recruiter

Gen is seeking an adaptable, high-impact Recruiter to support hiring across Kuala Lumpur, Japan, and Chennai, India. This hybrid role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a requirement to work from the office three days per week, and partners closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders across all three markets.

Responsibilities

Manage 15–20 mid- to senior-level professional and technical requisitions simultaneously across multiple office locations; Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies using Boolean search, talent mapping, competitive research, and passive candidate engagement; Leverage AI-driven tools, data insights, and ATS capabilities, such as Ashby, to optimize sourcing workflows, pipeline visibility, and decision-making; Partner closely with hiring managers and functional leaders to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and align on hiring expectations; Drive full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, debrief facilitation, and offer support; Build strong consultative relationships with stakeholders by providing guidance on market trends, candidate availability, and hiring best practices; Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders on search progress, pipeline quality, and hiring timelines; Deliver a seamless, high-quality candidate experience through clear communication, timely feedback, and professional representation of Gen’s brand; Track and analyze recruiting metrics to inform search strategy, improve pipeline quality, and support data-driven decision-making; Ensure compliance with recruiting processes, documentation standards, and internal policies throughout all stages of recruitment; Support onboarding coordination and transition activities for newly hired employees

Requirements

Proven experience recruiting mid- to senior-level professional and/or technical talent in competitive markets; Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume requisition load across multiple locations; Strong experience partnering with senior stakeholders and operating in a consultative recruiting model; Full-cycle recruiting and sourcing expertise; Strong AI fluency and data literacy; Hands-on experience with modern ATS platforms, such as Ashby; Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; Ability to balance speed, quality, and candidate experience; Data-driven and solutions-oriented; Highly adaptable in fast-paced, evolving environments; Professional, consultative, and relationship-focused
