Production Supervisor

We're looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team and help drive operational excellence at our Avondale site. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading frontline teams, ensuring production targets are achieved, and creating a safe and engaged workplace culture. Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop production team members to create a safe, engaged and high-performing workplace culture; Coordinate daily production activities to ensure operational, quality, service and efficiency targets are achieved; Drive strong health, safety and environmental practices, promoting a proactive and positive safety culture; Monitor production performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives that enhance productivity and reliability; Act as the key link between frontline teams and site leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment across the operation; Support workforce planning, labour utilisation, inventory control and resource allocation to meet business requirements; Provide leadership support to the Operations Manager, maintaining operational continuity and decision-making when required

Requirements

Leadership experience within manufacturing, production, FMCG or operational environment; Proven ability to coach, develop and motivate teams to achieve strong performance outcomes; Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system; Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels; Sound understanding of health and safety, quality systems and manufacturing best practices; Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operational environment; Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications; Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to supporting operational requirements; A passion for continuous improvement and driving positive change
