Project Engineer - Manufacturing

Opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business. This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for delivering engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, helping to improve manufacturing performance, efficiency, quality, and safety. This position would suit a proactive engineer who enjoys managing projects, working with suppliers and contractors, and driving continuous improvement across a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering projects from initial concept through to completion; Produce and interpret CAD drawings and technical documentation; Specify, procure, install, and commission new manufacturing equipment; Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments; Coordinate contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely and effectively; Support continuous improvement and manufacturing optimisation initiatives; Ensure compliance with health & safety and site regulations.

Requirements

HNC/HND or Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience; Proven experience delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment; Experience introducing and commissioning capital equipment; Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar); Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities; Confident managing suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders.
