Project Engineer

As a Digital Interview Recording Project Engineer, we need you to help us deliver our solutions into live operational service for our suite of products across our entire customer portfolio.

Responsibilities

Build, Commissioning and upgrades of our Digital Interview Recording product solutions into and within our customer environments; Fault diagnosis of our product suite of solution/s at both hardware and software levels; Create, review and update Engineering documentation, for example workplans, work instructions and technical guides; Work professionally in liaison with several internal teams to coordinate various activities and gather / provide information required to complete the tasks at hand; Completing installations on customer sites as demand requires, therefore you will be expected to work from a variety of locations and travel should be expected, including overnight stays; The role holder would need to accept a company car, within the allotted band for business travel; The role will involve extensive customer contact on both a technical and non-technical level requiring a professional and adaptable approach to communication and interaction / service; The role will require working both in a team and, potentially autonomously where projects dictate a limited engineering requirement; Continually follow and adhere to NECSWS outlined process & procedures; Complete all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery milestones; Present a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken; Promote a clean working environment; Adhere to all Health and Safety practices, rules and regulations

Requirements

Educated to HND/HNC level or relevant industry experience with a minimum of 2-years proven experience in a comparable role/s; Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving; Proven experience administering and working with Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016+; Proven Experience deploying Microsoft Windows and server Operating systems; Proven Experience deploying Microsoft Windows Updates (WSUS); Working knowledge of hands-on PC Hardware construction and maintenance; Understanding of IP Networking; Excellent customer service skills; Proven experience working to ITIL best practices; Team Working: Cooperating with and respecting colleagues to exceed the sum of individual efforts; Customer Service: Creating the best possible experience for NEC clients and their customers; Communication: The ability to listen, express and articulate information effectively; Performance Management: Delivery of business objectives through effective setting of personal and team goals; Results Focused: Getting the job done in an efficient way through effective time, task and financial management; Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Constantly seeking to improve the way the business is done through analysis, creativity, problem solving and change initiatives

Nice to have

MS Business Applications experience including Excel, Visio, Word; Experience of RJ45 Cable Construction and installation; Experience of soldering cable and connectors; Surveying of sites to identify suitable mounting surfaces and hazards; Experience of mounting hardware, including drilling and fixing in compliance with appropriate safety standards; Scripting experience / Knowledge (Batch, PowerShell); Experience of Windows Deployment Services/Toolkit; Experience of audio and video equipment; Good Presentation skills; Working at heights/ladders
