Psychiatrist (MD/DO) - Remote

BetterHelp is a technology-enabled mental health marketplace that connects patients with therapists and psychiatric providers covered by their insurance plans. This is a flexible, part-time 1099 contract opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities

Conduct video consultations and communicate with patients through telemedicine; Assess, screen, diagnose, and prescribe medication when clinically appropriate; Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs; Coordinate treatment planning and care delivery with BetterHelp's network of licensed therapists; Deliver empathetic, high-quality care while upholding BetterHelp's clinical and service standards; Share feedback with BetterHelp's product, engineering, and operations teams to help improve the provider and patient experience

Requirements

At least one year of experience as a licensed Psychiatrist; Active medical license (MD/DO) in good standing; Experience prescribing medication when clinically appropriate and permitted by applicable state law; Confidence using technology and online tools to deliver virtual care; Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Nice to have

Previous telemedicine experience; Active medical licenses in multiple states; Fluency in additional languages
