Our Operations & Industry Solutions team is looking for a Public Sector Transformation Senior Consultant/ Manager to join our Wellington team!

Responsibilities

About this team:; The Operations & Industry Solutions team at Deloitte provides a dynamic environment where you will work on challenging projects, across a range of client organisations.; What will your typical day look like?; Work alongside senior public sector leaders to define future operating models, identify opportunities for improvement and develop transformational roadmaps that deliver sustainable organisational and public outcomes.; Support the development of business cases, investment proposals and strategic options, helping clients make informed decisions on major transformation and improvement initiatives.; Lead teams to analyse and redesign end-to-end services, business processes and operating practices, improving efficiency, effectiveness and customer outcomes.; Lead workstreams within complex transformation programmes, supporting programme mobilisation, delivery planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation.; Translate strategic priorities into practical and actionable initiatives, helping clients move from concept and design through to implementation and execution.; Work with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, workflow automation and data-driven insights, to identify opportunities to improve productivity and service delivery.

Requirements

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:; 4-7+ years' experience gained within professional services, central government, Crown entities, local government and/or other public sector organisations.; Experience supporting or leading transformation initiatives, including operating model design, service design, business case development, process improvement and programme delivery.; Proven ability to work across stakeholders, business units and delivery teams to build alignment and drive outcomes in complex environments.; The ability to bridge business and technology perspectives, translating operational requirements into practical solutions and working effectively with both business and technical teams.; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly define problems, identify root causes and develop pragmatic, actionable recommendations.; Confidence engaging with, presenting to and influencing senior leaders and stakeholders, supported by strong communication and relationship-building skills.; Experience working with digital, data and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve organisational performance and service delivery.
