Pupil Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Pupil Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Dorking, supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference and helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally within a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom; Building positive relationships and acting as a positive role model; Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation; Working closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team

Requirements

Calm, resilient, and able to build strong relationships; Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people; Must be a driver with access to a vehicle due to the school's rural location; Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa; Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks; Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Children's Workforce (or Children's & Adults') Update Service, or be willing to obtain one

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour
