Python, SQL & Network Engineer

FinXL is seeking a Python, SQL & Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

Configure, manage, and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network services; Develop Python scripts for network automation, system integrations, and operational efficiency; Write optimised SQL queries, stored procedures, and support database performance tuning; Monitor network availability, performance, and capacity to proactively identify improvements; Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity and infrastructure issues; Leverage REST APIs, JSON, and XML for seamless data integration across systems; Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Requirements

Strong background in Network Engineering and Infrastructure Administration; Hands-on experience configuring Cisco and Firewall products (e.g., CSM, FMC); Demonstrated expertise in Python development for scripting and automation; Proficient in SQL database design, query optimisation, and performance tuning; Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data integration technologies; Hands-on experience with version control and source code management tools; Proven ability to work independently and deliver within fast-paced environments.
