Quality Control Manager

Millennium Galvanizing is a proud member of the American Galvanizing Association. We operate with a lead free kettle using special High Grade Zinc that is supported by the most technologically advanced equipment in our industry. Purpose of the Role: Lead the quality control team to ensure all galvanized products meet customer requirements and industry standards. Oversee inspections, guide QC technicians, resolve quality issues, and support a consistent, reliable galvanizing process.

Responsibilities

Lead the quality control team to ensure all galvanized products meet customer requirements and industry standards; Oversee inspections; Guide QC technicians; Resolve quality issues; Ensure galvanized products meet ASTM and AGA standards; Review and maintain quality procedures; Approve final product quality; Lead and develop QC Technicians; Provide training on inspection techniques; Oversee inspections at all stages; Monitor key process variables; Complete Chemical Analysis; Manage nonconformance reports; Support and host customer or third-party audits; Communicate quality requirements with DIS-TRAN Steel; Track quality trends and implement improvements; Ensure QC work follows site safety standards

Requirements

5+ years in QC/QA for galvanizing or industrial coatings, with leadership experience; Understanding of ASTM galvanizing standards; Ability to read drawings, follow specifications, and use inspection equipment; Experience participating in quality audits

Nice to have

Experience in hot-dip galvanizing operations (kettle, pre-treatment, or post-dip); Familiarity with ERP systems and documentation processes
