Quality Engineer

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join an excellent bespoke manufacturer in the Trowbridge area. With no day ever being the same the Quality Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment. Commutable from Melksham, Trowbridge, Chippenham, Bradford-on-Avon, Devizes, Bath, Corsham, Calne, Warminster, Westbury, Frome.

Responsibilities

Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) and Kaizen initiatives; Audit and improve manufacturing processes and quality controls; Lead root cause investigations using 5 Whys and 8D methodologies; Reduce quality and production risks through FMEA and Control Plans; Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve performance; Manage customer quality issues, CAPA activities, and support NPI/APQP projects

Requirements

2-3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing; Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, CI, and Kaizen; Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies; Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and change control; Six Sigma and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience

Nice to have

Electronics manufacturing experience or IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 knowledge desirable.
