Registered Nurse (RN) - General Med Surg

Full-time Registered Nurse position on the 3 East 20-bed Medical-Surgical floor at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center in Macon, GA. The unit provides comprehensive care for adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as post-operative recovery needs. Schedule: 7pm-7am, 3 twelve-hour shifts, nights, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Hours per week: 36. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1. Primary patient population includes adults with diabetes, respiratory illnesses, and cardiovascular disorders; post-operative patients recovering from general, orthopedic, or abdominal surgeries; and patients requiring telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills to lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
