Registered Nurse (RN) -ICU

Full-time 12-bed Critical Care Unit caring for the highest-acuity patients across all specialties, including neuro, cardiac, medical, and surgical cases, with CVVH and IABP support. Full-time, 3-12 hour night shifts from 7pm-7:30am with rotating weekends and holidays. Hours per week: 36. Nurse-to-patient ratios: 2:1 in the ICU (with some 1:1), 3:1 for stepdown, 4:1 for telemetry, and 12:1 NA ratio. Based at Aurora Medical Center Kenosha, 10400 75th St.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process; Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills; Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum; Work closely with intensivists, specialty providers, and 24/7 virtual critical care support; Care for high-acuity patients across neuro, cardiac, medical, and surgical cases

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire
