Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Float Pool

Join the inpatient float team at Aurora Medical Center Grafton, a 132-bed facility. Float nurses work across units within one facility, gain exposure to multiple specialties, and utilize their skills where they are needed most. Schedule: full-time (0.9 FTE), night shift 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, 24 hours of weekend hours per 6-week schedule, two holidays per year, flexible self-scheduling.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum; Work across various units within one facility, supporting med/surg units, progressive care, and observation, with cross-training opportunities in ED, ICU, and other specialty areas

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice to have

One to two years of med/surg nursing experience strongly preferred; New Graduates with strong acute care CNA or Nurse Extern experience may be considered
