Registered Nurse (RN)- Neurology Specialty Clinic

The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes. This position primarily provides nursing support for one of our Nurse Practitioners and will also assist the collaborating physician in partnership with another RN with focus on patients with functional neurological disorders, including conditions such as Parkinson's Disease.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing support for one of our Nurse Practitioners; assist the collaborating physician in partnership with another RN; focus on patients with functional neurological disorders, including conditions such as Parkinson's Disease; provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process; deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills; lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice to have

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred
