Registered Nurse RN Transplant PCU

The Transplant PCU at Banner University Medical Center is supported by a multi-disciplinary team focused on patients with renal and liver transplant. This full-time night shift position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Formulate and revise a plan of care, including the discharge plan, in collaboration with the patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team; Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Provide care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities; Participate in unit or facility shared leadership; Participate in education, orientation, precepting and mentoring; Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts concerning patient health care

Requirements

Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification required; Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice; Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired; Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area through annual validations; Experience in PCU nursing or a Telemetry, ICU, Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Medical/Surgical, or other acute or critical care background

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification preferred; Additional related education and/or experience preferred
