Rehabilitation Consultant (Occupational Therapist)

Responsibilities

Case management for injured workers in the western suburbs needing physical and/or psychological support to return to employment; Taking a holistic care approach and establishing key relationships with health professionals; Working within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing; Performing assessments including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments; Collaborating with stakeholders including the injured employee, employer, medical specialists and other allied health professionals to develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans; Supporting large government employers and employees through existing clients and relationships

Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy (Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists may also be considered); Current unrestricted (or eligibility for) registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA or ESSA as an EP); Strong clinical reasoning; Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal; Passion to help people rehabilitate
