Respite Support Worker

At Care By Us (Part of the CCH Group), every day is different. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time Respite Support Workers to join our friendly, dedicated team across Hertfordshire. In this vital role, you will step in to provide temporary relief to primary caregivers. Your goal is to seamlessly maintain the service user's normal routine, ensuring their day-to-day living continues exactly as it would with their own family.

Responsibilities

Providing temporary relief to primary caregivers; Maintaining the service user's normal routine; Supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and autistic spectrum disorders, complex needs, mental health issues, and challenging behaviours; Family-style support to provide companionship and emotional support; Personal care: assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding; Household support: cooking, meal preparation, laundry, and light housework; Community inclusion: encouraging participation in hobbies and community activities; Medication: administration or assistance as directed by care plans; Travelling to support clients across Hertfordshire

Requirements

A genuine desire to help others with patience, empathy, and compassion; Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations; A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle; The Right to Work in the UK
