Retail Manager - Catering

Group Retail Manager role leading retail operations across multiple locations on the BaxterStorey Campus in Shoreditch, London. The role oversees strategic direction and operational excellence of the retail group, driving sales performance, enhancing customer experience, and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee the strategic planning and execution of retail operations across multiple store locations, ensuring consistency in brand standards and customer experience; Manage and mentor retail teams, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career progression opportunities; Analyse sales performance, financial metrics, and key performance indicators across all locations; Develop and implement retail strategies that drive sales growth, market share expansion, and profitability whilst maintaining customer satisfaction; Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and retail best practices across all group stores; Manage budgets and P&L responsibilities, controlling costs and optimising resource allocation; Lead change management initiatives and implement new systems, processes, or merchandising strategies across the group; Conduct regular store visits and audits to monitor operational standards, staff performance, and customer service quality; Collaborate with head office functions including marketing, merchandising, and supply chain; Develop and execute staff recruitment, induction, and retention programmes; Gather and analyse customer feedback and market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and competitive positioning

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years' experience in retail management, with at least 2 years managing multiple store locations or a large retail group; Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving profitability in a retail environment; Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams; Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting; Demonstrated experience in P&L management and budget control; Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the organisation; Proficiency with retail management systems and point-of-sale technology; Knowledge of UK retail market dynamics and consumer behaviour

Nice to have

Experience in change management and implementing new retail initiatives; Familiarity with inventory management and merchandising strategy; Background in staff recruitment and talent development programmes; Experience with retail compliance and health and safety management; Knowledge of omnichannel retail operations; Retail management qualifications or professional certifications in retail leadership
