RN Registered Nurse Stress Lab Per Diem PRN

Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process. Provides care, treatment and services through the successful coordination and completion of a series of processes that include assessment, planning care, providing care, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process; Administers, transcribes, and records medications; Develops, evaluates, and updates individualized plan of care; Initiates admission assessment within 8 hours of admissions; Documents all patient care and outcomes; Facilitates discharge/transfer by goal of 12:00pm; Verifies patient identification with two identifiers; Complies with CDC hand hygiene guidelines and universal precautions; Obtains at least 5 contact hours per year in area of practice; Utilizes software applications required by department; Complies with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards; Safeguards privacy and security of patient information; Conveys respect for patient and family values; Considers age and cultural needs of patients.

Requirements

RN - Registered Nurse; Depending on department: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required.

Nice to have

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Previous Acute Care RN experience
