Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care in an area designated as a specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice; Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel; May precept student nurses and new hires; Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources; Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate; Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient and family education; Maintains requirements of Clinical Ladder; Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and/or psychosocial support needs

Accredited Program: Nursing (Required); BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD); BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD); BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA); BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE); BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC); Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT); Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL); One (1) year of nursing experience required; Critical thinking skills; Effective communication skills; Decisive judgment; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a stressful environment
