RN - Specialty II - ICU - FT - Days - $15K Sign on Bonus - MHP

Provides direct patient care in an area designated as a specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment; Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate; Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and/or psychosocial support needs; Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; Delegates patient care to ancillary personnel; May precept student nurses and new hires

Requirements

Accredited Program: Nursing (Required); One (1) year of nursing experience required; ACLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross); BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross); Registered Nurse License (State of Florida or Compact Multistate); Critical thinking skills; Effective communications skills; Decisive judgment; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; Department specific credentials: ACLS for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas; PALS for Pediatric areas (except NICU); NRP for NICU; Fetal Monitoring certification for L&D RNs; ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate required for RNs administering chemotherapy; APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card within 12 months for RNs administering chemotherapy in pediatric setting; RN Fellowship Program requires one (1) year of RN independent practice not inclusive of nurse orientation; Newly licensed RNs have six (6) months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS
