Roadway Design Engineer

As a roadway design engineer, you’ll support transportation improvement projects with the design and detailing of local, county, and state roadway and highway projects. You’ll assist with geometric analyses and calculations using established design criteria and standard software. The roadway design engineer reports to the project manager.

Responsibilities

Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections; Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations; Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices; Perform engineering calculations and estimates

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience; Professional Engineer (PE) license; Proficiency in Bentley Open Roads modeling software
