Scaffold Builder - Maintenance

A Scaffold Builder for Optimal Field Services will be responsible for assembling, daily inspection, and revision of scaffolding. This task will require employees to work at heights while wearing proper PPE. He / She will be required to pass material to each other from ground level to elevated level. At time employee will be required to climb stairs/ ladders at different elevations. This work is year around in different climates.

Responsibilities

Assembling, daily inspection, and revision of scaffolding; Passing material from ground level to elevated level; Climbing stairs/ladders at different elevations; Inspecting surface for holes, objects, and levelness; Assembling scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels; Positioning scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place; Securing scaffold to permanent structure if required; Performing additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; One to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanical level); Ability to operate different types of forklifts; Ability to work at heights while wearing proper PPE; Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical

Nice to have

Technical degree or certification in related field; Ability to read engineered drawings; National Certification
