As a Kitchen Steward, you are responsible for executing a range of essential duties that ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. These duties include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

Operate an industrial dishwasher (sort, stack, load, unload); Ensure dishes, glasses, cutlery, utensils, silverware required are clean and available for use; Store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner; Transport food & supplies from the storeroom & kitchen to designated areas; Ensure all breakages and chipped items are reported & removed from circulation and inventoried; Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times and correct equipment and chemicals are used; Assist with set-up and break down of service areas for service and functions; Cleaning of stoves, ovens, grills, refrigerators & using necessary cleaning solutions and tools; Maintain a healthy, clean and safe work environment

Requirements

Positive attitude; Good communication skills; Ability to work under pressure; Ability to work on their own or in teams; Police certificate of character; Ability to work on weekends and bank holidays
