Seasonal Restaurant Server (Part-Time) - Eataly Sherway Gardens

This is a seasonal position with an expected end date of 1/03/2027.

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the Restaurant Managers.

Compensation

- Compensation for this role is CAD $17.95 hourly, plus tips

Responsibilities

Greets guests and presents them with the menu; Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies; Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system; Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations; Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests; Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware; Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants; Performs other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures; Excellent communication skills; Basic math skills; Must hold a valid Smart Serve; Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
