Seasoned Commercial Handyman

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is looking for a seasoned commercial handyman who would rather pick up a tool than sit behind a desk filling out paperwork all day. You'll handle a variety of commercial repairs, maintenance and improvement projects including finish carpentry and trim work, drywall repair and painting, door and hardware repairs, light plumbing, light electrical, flooring and tile repairs, commercial walls, ceilings and interior repairs, exterior repairs and maintenance, tenant improvement work, punch-list and general building repairs. You'll work with local businesses, property managers, offices, retail spaces and commercial properties throughout Northern Virginia. The office handles phones, scheduling, customers, paperwork and calendar. You get a company van and fuel card, a steady pipeline of commercial projects, clear scopes of work and scheduled jobs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

20+ years of hands-on experience in construction, handyman work, or the skilled trades; Strong carpentry and remodeling skills; Experience working in commercial buildings or properties; Ability to handle several trades without supervision; Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Pride in doing clean, quality work; Ability to work around customers, tenants, and property managers; Punctuality and follow-through; Valid driver's license; Own everyday hand tools
