Security officer

Responsibilities

Maintain a consistently polished, professional appearance and act as the primary point of contact for building occupants and guests; Manage the visitor sign-in/sign-out process, verify identity, issue temporary badges, and announce guest arrivals; Enforce building access control policies and prevent unauthorized entry or tailgating; Conduct regular documented security patrols of the property's interior and exterior perimeter; Operate and monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and life safety systems; Serve as primary responder to alarms and critical incidents; Prepare detailed written reports on security-related incidents and daily activities; Escalate critical incidents to building management, security contacts, and law enforcement; Assist with inventory and issuance of building keys and access cards, and deactivate credentials for terminated personnel

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate security, hospitality, or a customer service-focused environment; Demonstrated proficiency in using computers, standard security software, and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation; Requires a high degree of professional maturity and sound judgment necessary to handle complex tenant interactions and sensitive security matters; Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required
