Security Officer - Part Time/Night Shift

Security Officer for a resort hotel in Santa Rosa, CA. The officer safeguards properties, deters criminal activity, and ensures safety, performing hourly tours, access control, exterior and interior patrols, lock/unlock duties, and camera monitoring. Shifts: Sunday and Monday, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, with opportunity for additional shifts. Compensation: $21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Safeguard properties, deter criminal activity, and ensure the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities; Conduct hourly tours and ensure the premises is secure; Perform access control when checking guests in and out and check all entrances and exits; Conduct exterior and interior patrols; Perform routine lock and unlock duties for designated doors; Conduct periodic camera monitoring; Monitor for noise disturbances and ensure guests comply with quiet hours; Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations; Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access; Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety; Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations; Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports; Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns

Requirements

Valid BSIS Guard Card (required); Current with BSIS Compliance, e.g., 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate; 32-hour continuing education certificates; Experience working graveyard shifts; Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor; Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations
