SEIU Nutrition Assistant

Responsible to assemble, serve, and collect all patient meals, between meal snacks and floor stock. Maintains sanitation of work areas and follows sanitary food practices at all times.

Responsibilities

Assemble, serve, and collect all patient meals, between meal snacks and floor stock; Maintain sanitation of work areas and follow sanitary food practices; Assemble and deliver patient trays for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner meals; Pass nourishments, fill water pitchers, and pass tube feedings and infant formulas; Assist with patient menu selection; Collect and submit completed patient menu selections; Collect soiled meal trays and move soiled carts; Record patients' food and liquid intake; Maintain floor stock inventory and fill Blue Orders; Supply late trays and substitute selections; Perform assigned cleaning duties and check food temperatures with thermometer; Assemble trays on trayline and assist with food preparation

Requirements

High School diploma with ability to understand, read, write and speak English and with experience in a service environment; demonstrated ability to work independently; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
