SEIU Transport Asst

Responsibilities

Escorts and transports patients to and from clinical services and patient units; Delivers specimens and equipment; Performs cleaning of equipment as directed; Sends and delivers carts on supply transport system; Assists nursing staff in restraining disturbed patients, handling unusually heavy patients, and transporting deceased patients; Picks up and delivers specimens, patient records, requisitions, patient mail, and pharmaceuticals; Delivers supplies and equipment from the Equipment Center and sets up equipment; Distributes meals and snacks to patients under direction of nurse, makes beds, and helps stock shelves with linen and other supplies; Performs duties as clothing room clerk

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak English; Ability to push, pull, and lift patients, supplies and equipment
