SEND Teaching Assistants

SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, flexible supply roles starting as soon as possible. These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who are passionate about inclusive education and want to make a meaningful impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of schools in and around Haringey, supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with a range of special educational needs in mainstream or specialist settings; Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities; Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being; Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment; Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs where required; Contribute to observations and progress tracking; Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals

Requirements

Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting; Understanding of EHCPs, differentiation, and inclusive practice; A caring, patient, and resilient approach to supporting pupils; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
