Senior Data Engineer, Membership

Hybrid work

Publication date: 30/08/2026

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer – Membership to join our Data Engineering & Analytics team. Your primary focus will be building and owning the data pipelines and infrastructure that unify Oura's membership data across multiple source systems — creating a reliable, governed single source of truth for subscriber data. Membership is a core and rapidly growing revenue stream, and there is currently no dedicated engineering resource supporting it. While Membership is your primary domain, we expect and actively support team members growing into adjacent engineering areas — such as Marketing, E-commerce, or broader data platform work — as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, harmonize, and model Oura's membership data from multiple source systems into a unified, production-grade data layer; Partner with the Membership Data Analyst, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to define data requirements and deliver reliable membership data products; Own end-to-end data quality and reliability for the membership data domain — from raw ingestion to analytics-ready tables; Integrate subscription billing, CRM, and app engagement data into a coherent Membership data model; Apply data governance practices: data lineage, documentation, access controls, and metric validation; Contribute to the Membership domain's Data Mesh ownership model; Expand into Marketing/Martech or E-commerce data engineering as the team scales; Contribute to broader lakehouse architecture improvements (Iceberg, Databricks, dbt); Support platform infrastructure work alongside the Data Platform team.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data engineering, building and operating production pipelines; Strong SQL and Python skills with a track record of reliable pipeline development; Experience integrating data from subscription billing, CRM, or marketing platforms (Stripe, Braze, Salesforce, Shopify, or similar); Familiarity with modern data stack tooling: dbt, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, or equivalent; Good understanding of subscription data models: subscriber lifecycle, events, billing, cancellations; Experience running and monitoring production systems on AWS or equivalent cloud; Self-motivated, pragmatic, and able to manage your own work in a distributed team.

Nice to have

Experience building data infrastructure for a consumer subscription or membership business; Familiarity with event-driven architectures and stream processing for subscription event data; Experience with Data Mesh and domain-oriented data ownership; Exposure to Marketing or E-commerce data engineering.

Benefits

Competitive salary; Lunch benefit; Wellness benefit; Flexible working hours; Wellness Time Off; Enhanced occupational health care; Personal Oura Ring plus lifetime membership.
