Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help shape the future of data at Haypp Group. As part of our Data Engineering team, you'll play a key role in building and scaling the data platform that powers decision-making across the entire business.

Responsibilities

Shape the future of data at Haypp Group; Build scalable data solutions that power business insights, analytics and machine learning at scale; Implement, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting to multiple data sources such as in-house e-comm platform, shipping providers, warehouse systems; Build and maintain scalable, testable and reliable data pipelines using best practices; Build and maintain robust data infrastructure in a version-controlled way; Work closely with Analytics team colleagues to ensure integrity and quality of data; Liaise with stakeholders from all parts of the organisation to develop the data infrastructure to meet the prioritised business projects; Together with the tech team, drive the data infrastructure and its architecture forward; Learn, grow, be challenged and have fun

Requirements

Previous experience in Data Engineering roles; Fluency in using SQL and Python is a must; A strong understanding of data governance, security, maintainability and observability; Experience working in and managing a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP or Azure; Experience modeling data using industry standard tools such as dbt, and with data modeling concepts such as star schema, dimensional modeling; A commitment to ensuring data quality for downstream users of data; Technical ownership and familiarity with agile ways of working; A technical and commercial mindset; Team player; Good communicator with technical and non-technical counterparts; Fluent in English; Ambitious with a will to learn and develop
