Senior Data Solutions Analyst

Are you passionate about solving complex data challenges within complex financial services environments? We are looking for a Senior Data Solutions Analyst to join a highly skilled technology environment where you will bridge the gap between business, data and technology. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership from requirements through to implementation, testing and delivery while working on business-critical data solutions. This is not a traditional Business Analyst position. We are looking for someone who enjoys getting involved in both analysis and execution, helping to improve business processes, data quality and technology solutions across complex financial data lifecycles. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and data specialists to deliver solutions that support portfolio, analytics and risk data capabilities.

Responsibilities

Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and data specialists to deliver solutions that support portfolio, analytics and risk data capabilities; Analysing complex business and data requirements across Investment & Risk domains; Mapping end-to-end data flows between applications and business processes; Performing data analysis, reconciliation, impact assessments and data quality improvements; Translating business requirements into scalable data solutions; Supporting configuration, testing, validation and implementation activities; Coordinating User Acceptance Testing and production releases; Investigating production issues and performing root cause analysis; Supporting Product Owners with backlog refinement and delivery planning; Documenting business processes, data flows and solution designs

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience within complex financial services environments, preferably in Asset Management, Financial Risk Management or Capital Markets; Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Investment Analyst, Risk Analyst or a similar delivery-focused role; Mandatory domain knowledge of the Investment & Risk lifecycle, including portfolio management, trading, analytics and operational processes; Strong understanding of investment and risk data structures; Experience with data mapping, reconciliation, lineage and data quality; Strong SQL skills and experience analysing complex datasets; Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake and dbt; Understanding of APIs, interfaces and data integration concepts; Experience working in Agile delivery teams; The ability to move beyond requirements gathering into implementation, testing, validation and production support; Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Charles River Development (CRD) or MSCI Barra is considered an advantage but is not required.
