Senior Database Administrator

Responsibilities

Plan and implement moderately complex company databases; Install, configure, and manage databases; Identify data definition, structure, and long-range requirements; Complete documentation of databases; Establish database standards and guidelines; Support complex logical data models and database designs; Resolve database issues around performance, capacity, replication, and other distributed data issues; Identify information flow and content issues; Maintain database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design; Participate in on-call rotations; Demonstrate expertise in a variety of fields concepts, practices, and procedures; Guide various groups on application systems activities; Work under general directions; Ensure all relational databases are regularly and efficiently backed up; Support security model across all Relational Database Systems; Proactively monitor the activity and status of all Relational Database Systems; Respond to any issues involving Relational Database systems to ensure high availability; Participate in Data Integration projects; Participate in Data Cleansing projects; Support and maintain data integration, business intelligence, and other applications; Mentor the programming staff; Perform other related duties

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field; relevant experience in a closely related field
