Senior Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities

Reverse engineering old designs and designing new iterations; Design and development of devices and associated technologies; Design and validate the next generation of products with a focus on manufacturability and BOM cost; Reduce the BOM cost of the existing product through component choice and leveraging of supply chain; Improve the manufacturability of products to reduce assembly and calibration time; Improve the serviceability of the product to simplify service callouts; Improve the reliability of the product

Requirements

Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline; Modern PSU design, high power RF generation, power factor correction, embedded microcontrollers and wired communications; EMC compliance, fault-tolerant product design, validation and verification of electronics and embedded software, and test jig development; Working with UK and overseas contract manufacturers, hand soldering/rework, PCB design (Altium and Proteus), 60601 compliance documentation, and lab report writing
