We are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our growing global team at Sectigo.

We are hiring a backend-leaning Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build, test, and operate a modern SaaS platform spanning Perl, Go, and TypeScript/Vue services. The platform is evolving from legacy Perl systems into better-bounded services, and we are looking for engineers who value disciplined modernization over unnecessary rewrites.

You will contribute across backend services, APIs, frontend applications, testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment workflows. The environment emphasizes strong engineering practices, operational ownership, and thoughtful architectural decision-making.

Experience

Candidates should be strong in at least three of the following and able to become productive in others quickly:

Expected Testing Practices

- Perl: prove, Test::More, integration and request-level tests
- Go: go test, table-driven tests, httptest, race detection
- Frontend: TypeScript component and integration testing, Vitest
- E2E: Playwright and API smoke testing
- Contract & DB: OpenAPI contract tests and Liquibase migration checks

Quality Expectations

- Every PR includes tests proving the change.
- Mutation score is prioritized over raw coverage.
- Flaky tests are fixed immediately.
- CI pipelines are treated as production-critical systems.

Strong understanding of

- Strangler-fig migrations
- Anti-corruption layers
- OpenAPI-first design
- Event-driven integration with RabbitMQ
- Idempotency, retries, and timeout handling
- Expand / migrate / contract database strategies

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and deploy features across backend, frontend, APIs, and database layers.; Contribute to schema migrations, CI/CD improvements, and operational tooling.; Maintain production reliability and participate in troubleshooting and optimization.; Additional tasks associated with this position may be assigned in response to company initiatives and business needs.; Extract legacy Perl functionality into better-bounded services using strangler-fig patterns.; Build API-first integrations and contract-tested boundaries.; Apply pragmatic service decomposition without overengineering.; Test-Driven Development (TDD); SOLID principles; Hexagonal architecture; Feature flags and continuous refactoring; Observability-first development; Security-by-default practices; Small, maintainable pull requests; This is a full-time and in-office position, reporting to our Chennai office 5 days a week.; The targeted compensation package for this role is between INR 20 LPA and 22 LPA, subject upon internal equity and years of experience. We may make further adjustments through an approval process if the targeted compensation range needs to be modified based on business needs and market trends.

Requirements
